Jumping Juice is a collaboration between Yarra-based friends, Patrick Sullivan and Xavier Goodridge who have amassed a loyal following for their high-quality, natural wines made from top quality fruit. The winemaking is overseen by natural wine guru, Patrick, a self-confessed producer groupie, who moved to London when he was 19 and gained employment in the wine room at Selfridges before deciding to study winemaking back in Australia. Not quite a Rose, not quite an Orange, Sunset is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Syrah, all of which are fermented on their skins.
A burnt-orange in colour. On the nose, notes of peach, apricot and mandarin with hints of dark spices. On the palate, crunchy and fresh with a juicy acidity and lingering finish. Great with salmon, tuna or shrimp.
