The Finca was founded in 1999 by Rafa Bernabé and his wife Olga in the village of Villena in the heart of the sun-drenched Alicante region. The estate is now one of the area's most important wineries. Everything is organic and the estate's focus on obscure and unusual grape varieties has set the benchmark for pinpoint, terroir-driven wines from the region. The various vineyards are comprised of chalky clay-calcareous soils, and are broken down into parcels by grape variety. Each parcel is treated differently in the cellar and no more than 3,000 bottles of each cuvee is produced. These are honest wines, free of artifice, that are joyful and delicious to drink. Tragolargo ('Long Drink') is made from younger Monastrell vines planted directly around the bodega at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level. Medium-bodied and aromatic, this pairs well with grilled meats.

A light ruby-red in the glass. Aromas of fresh red cherries, plums and green tea. On the palate, concentrated red and black fruit flavours with a smooth texture and dry tannins. The finish is short and refreshing making this an extremely quaffable red. Drink with roast duck with Seville oranges, sautéed garlic mushrooms with Oloroso sherry or roasted red peppers stuffed with soft goat's cheese.
