The 10.5 hectare Domaine Raymond Boulard is situated between Reims and Epernay and the estate has been in the Boulard family since 1792. Today, they farm land in seven villages producing the three classic Champagne grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, including top ranking Grand Cru on the hillside of the Marne Valley and Montagne de Reims. The estate was certified biodynamic in 2001 and the vines are tended very strictly according to these principles. In addition all the wines are pressed, fermented and aged on the premises. The award-winning Rosé is made in the 'Saignee' (literally 'bled off') method whereby the skins of the red grapes are left in contact with the juice for a relatively short time, in this case 10-12 hours. An equal blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, this is an elegant and refreshing champagne. An ideal aperitif.

A delicate salmon pink in colour with orange hints. The bubbles are well structured and persistent . Scents of raspberries, cherries and candied peel. On the palate, crisp and refreshing with hints of ripe red berries. A very harmonious and expressive champagne. Great with smoked salmon blinis, pigeon casserole with figs or Peking duck.
