Didier and Catherine Champalou established their 20 hectare estate in Vouvray in 1984. They grow exclusively Chenin Blanc grapes and are among the leading producers in the town. Didier tends the vines and Catherine oversees the cellar. Their wines are stunning -  harmonious, restrained and a true reflection of the terroir. The 'Cuvee des Fondraux' is from densely planted 50-year-old vines grown on clay-flint soils and is fresh with a gentle acidity. Ideal for flavoursome fish dishes. 

A gorgeous golden-yellow in colour. The nose is packed with notes of honey, apples and quince. On the palate, fleshy and ripe with a buttery texture. Full of juicy tropical fruit flavours suggesting melon and citrus fruits. The finish is lingering with further honeyed notes. Great food wine. Try with Peking style duck, Tabbouleh or a warm salad of coquilles Saint-Jacques and tuna in a coriander sauce.
