Didier and Catherine Champalou established their 20 hectare estate in Vouvray in 1984. They grow exclusively Chenin Blanc grapes and are among the leading producers in the town. Didier tends the vines and Catherine oversees the cellar. Their wines are stunning -  harmonious, restrained and a true reflection of the terroir. The Chenin grapes that go to make this vivacious Vouvray Sec are harvested in the early morning to retain their freshness. The grapes are then pressed immediately and left on their lees in tank for 11 months before bottling.

A delicate straw yellow in colour. Aromas of green apples and quince. Dry, supple and elegant on the palate with further green fruit notes. The crisp finish makes this an ideal food wine. Try with a wild rice salad, escalopes of pork with a fennel and green bean salad or with a simple grilled trout.
